muio interface
boxed muio
This idea came from discussion with the Graphic Arts BA at Liverpool John Moores Uiversity. They wanted something cheap (so they could have several), robust and easy to use. Their students did not want to mess with electronics, but did want to mess with making interfaces.
The muio in a box is the solution:

a housed muio, and close up
This makes a complete sensor system, based on cheap available items. The box contains a muio mini and 1 ADC expansion board. It also includes resistors on the inputs to make the creation of sensor cables really easy!
Making a sensor cable for muio in a box
- Buy a cheap 3.5mm to 3.5mm Jack cable and cut it in half (about 90p for 2 sensor cables!) and strip the end of the wires inside.

- Ignore the red wire (useful for more advanced wiring) add a connector block to the black and white wires.

- Screw your sensor to the other side of the connectore block

- PLug the sensor and wire into the muio in a box and you are ready to go.
